Veteran and Active-Duty Resource Event in Warren County
The Warren County YMCA hosted their inaugural Be Well Warrior Resource Engagement over the weekend.
The event served as a gathering place for veterans, active-duty members, and military families, featuring over eleven different service providers.
This initiative was driven by the fact that Warren County boasts the highest per capita count of veterans in the state of Pennsylvania.
Event coordinators aimed to provide a platform for these individuals to connect and gain essential information about available assistance and resources within the region.
“This is an opportunity for every veteran, active-duty member, and military family to get out and socialize," said Kevin Hall, Be Well Warrior Co-Coordinator.
“Reaching out for help, is a two-way street," stated Erin Wallace, Mental Wellness Coordinator at the Warren County YMCA. "It’s not just for our warriors who are reaching to find out what resources they may be able to utilize. This event is also for those resources who are here. They may need to reach out to our veterans, to our warrior families.”
The Be Well Warrior's mission is to advocate, engage, and support all local veterans, active-duty members, and military families.
