A girl was injured after being hit by a vehicle while getting on a school bus in Crawford County on Wednesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

It happened on Pennsylvania Ave. in Vernon Township around 6:47 a.m.

A Chevrolet SUV heading north on Pennsylvania Ave. failed to stop for the school bus and hit a 7-year-old girl running from the westbound side of the road, troopers said.

She suffered severe facial injuries and minor injuries on both legs and was taken by ambulance to Meadville Medical Center, according to investigators.
