Woman Arrested for Stealing Car in Springfield Township; Victim Reported Crime after Jumping in Trunk
Pennsylvania State Police charged a woman with stealing a vehicle after the victim reported the crime after jumping in the trunk, according to a news release.
It happened Nov. 6 just before 10 p.m. on Holliday Rd. in Springfield Township, Erie County.
Troopers discovered Ashley Zazado, 34, of Linesville, with the victim's Buick car, which was taken after an argument with a 60-year-old Springboro man, according to investigators.
The man jumped into the trunk of the vehicle before Zazado reportedly took the vehicle, and he reported the crime and his current location once the vehicle stopped, state police said.
The victim told investigators several items were missing from the vehicle, and graffiti was found on the driver's side headlight.
Troopers charged Zazado with unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.
