For the third-consecutive season, the Erie Otters Hockey Club and its fans collected socks for those in need in the Erie Community.

The hockey club and fans combined their efforts on Saturday, November 18 to collect 2,768 socks during the game. That included: 1,489 men's socks, 785 women's socks, 494 kids socks.

The Charity Sock Toss was launched following the pandemic during the Otters' 2021-22 season. The socks are collected and donated to local shelters.

Additionally, the St. Martin's Early Learning Center and the Erie Otters partnered for the center's annual Socktober drive. During this collection, the Otters were able to add an additional 1,500 pairs of socks to the collected total.

This brought up the sock total to 4,268 pairs of socks.

The Erie Otters have been able to donate over 8,000 pair of socks to those in need through the Charity Sock Toss.
