Scott Enterprises is expanding its culinary offerings with a new Italian restaurant. Roma's Italian Kitchen will be taking over the vacant IHOP building on West 12th Street.

According to Scott Enterprises, the restaurant is expected to open in February of 2024.

Scott Enterprises said the restaurant will celebrate rich and diverse Italian flavors, offering a hand-crafted menu with traditional recipes from famous locations in Italy made with fresh ingredients.

Originally, the owners announced that plans were underway for a second Quaker Steak & Lube at the IHOP location, but they decided to introduce a new restaurant to the community instead.

"We are excited to bring this new concept to Erie's West Side. We initially were planning to put an Italian restaurant in this location following the closure of IHOP on West 12th. We changed direction from that initial plan, but after additional consideration, we realized that people are craving a fresh, new Italian dining option in Erie. In addition to sit-down dining, Roma's will also offer a convenient take-out service. We are excited for visitors and locals to get to enjoy this new spot," said Nick Scott, Sr., President of Scott Enterprises.
