Pennsylvania State Police broke ground on the new headquarters for Troop E Wednesday morning.
Plans call for the $27 million facility to be built along Oliver Rd., not far from the Perry Hi-Way Hose Company in Summit Township.
The two-story, 64,000-square-foot space will also include a crime lab, an aviation hangar and an indoor shooting range.
Construction is expected to take about two years.
