Albion Pharmacy Closing for Business This Week

A local pharmacy announced that it is closing its doors this week, which means that customers will have to find alternative options for their prescriptions.
Albion Pharmacy, the only drug store located within the borough, says it is "closing for business", effective Thursday, Jan. 4.
Erie News Now was sent a photo of a notice written by pharmacy management, which went on to say that customers' prescription records will be available at the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Girard, located on 9141 West Ridge Road.
The notice also said there will be "no interruption of service" and any Rite Aid location will be valid for prescription and healthcare needs. The notice went on to say, "Thank you for your patronage over the years."
The Linesville Pharmacy, located just under 19 miles from Albion, did say that people have been calling them to switch over for prescriptions, mentioning they intend to make the process of switching as easy as possible.
