Driver Injured in Crash Involving Transport Truck on Interstate 90

The driver of a transport truck underwent surgery following a crash on Interstate 90 on Tuesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
It was reported in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 21, which is east of Bargain Rd., around 8:37 a.m.
A 47-year-old man from Brooklyn, N.Y., was heading eastbound when he lost control of a RAM truck hauling a trailer, hit an embankment with the undercarriage then ran into two large trees, troopers said.
The driver was taken by ambulance to UPMC Hamot where he underwent surgery for his injuries.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
He could be cited for carless driving pending investigation, according to state police.
