The Cochranton School District has begun a search for a new head football coach after the resignation of Mike Feleppa, a district representative has confirmed to Erie News Now. The former Cardinals coach informed the district of his resignation on January 29.

Feleppa ends a three-year run as the head coach. He led the Cardinals to a 14-12 record during his tenure. The Cardinals made two postseason appearances under Feleppa, which included a District 10 1A championship appearance in 2021.

Cochranton finished 5-4 this past season and fell to Mercer in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.

A search will begin for the next head coach at Cochranton.
