Less than a month after Brad Orlando announced his resignation, McDowell and the Millcreek School District appear to have found the next varsity head football coach.

The McDowell Athletics Department announced Thursday that Aaron Slocum is the anticipated next head football coach of the Trojans. Slocum must be approved by the Millcreek Township School Board at its next meeting on February 12th.

“Coach Slocum has a very close relationship with his father, a well-known, successful coach. He’s worked under very successful coaches, so he has seen
what it takes to lead a program, but I’m most excited and looking forward to Aaron putting his personal stamp on the program, said McDowell athletic director Mark Becker. "He is passionate about football, but more so he’s passionate about relationships with his players and fellow coaches.”

Slocum, a McDowell alum, holds several school records as a player. He has served as an assistant coach for the past 12 seasons.
