Lego builders got a chance to show off their skills with the first LEGO League Championship Tournament at Penn State Behrend. This was the fourteenth year for the event.

Twenty-five teams of fourth through eighth graders from around the region created different designs and builds to compete for the Champion Award.

The day-long event at Penn State Behrend began with an opening ceremony, followed by team judging sessions, and the robot game.

Teams were judged on design, project research and how well they worked as a team. The highlight of Saturday's event was the robot competition where teams designed and built their own robots.

The day ended with an awards ceremony.
