Corry Memorial Hospital of LECOM Health will begin an Internal Medicine Residency program. After being awarded accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the hospital will be the first in the United States to offer this program.

Nine residency positions were approved and application will be accepted immediately with the first cohort starting later this year. 

"This accomplishment reflects alignment with our commitment to advancing health care in rural communities, providing valuable training opportunities for medical professionals, and contributing to the overall improvement of healthcare services," Dr. John M. Ferretti, LECOM Health President and CEO. 

Dr. James Lin, will serve as the program director and will be responsible for oversight of the program.
