White Center for Healing Lights Bicentennial Tower in Honor of Eating Disorder Awareness Week

The White Pine Center for Healing will be lighting the Bicentennial Tower in honor of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
The Tower Lighting Ceremony will be taking place on Monday, February 26 at 6-9 p.m.
Staff from the White Pine Center for Healing will be on hand to discuss treatment and prevention of eating disorders, body image issues, and trauma.
The healing center will be lighting the Bicentennial Tower in blue and green in honor of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week from Monday, Feb. 26 to Sunday, March 3.
According to the center, eating disorder awareness is important because eating disorders have the highest mortality rate out of any other psychiatric disorder, affecting almost 30 million Americans every year.
Furthermore, poor body image is the leading cause of developing an eating disorder, and 1 in 5 children around the world exhibit signs of disordered eating as a result.
