The Erie Zoo will be hosting its annual Spring Egg-venture on Saturday, March 30. 

Kids will get the chance to participate in the egg-themed event where families can learn about the different kinds of animals that lay eggs, and more. 

Children will also get the chance to hunt for eggs in the Primate Patio and redeem a prize from Burger King and Romolo's Chocolate. 

The first 100 families to enter the zoo will receive a 15 oz. Chocolate Foiled Bunny. Additionally, there will also be 200 special prizes courtesy of Wild Republic and Texas Roadhouse that will be randomly drawn for egg hunt participants. 

Event organizers said there may even be a guest appearance from a special bunny!

The Spring Egg-venture will take place at the Erie Zoo on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hunt will go on rain, show or shine. 

The event is recommended for children 12 and under. 

Additionally, the zoo will be hosting its Animals are the Artists Spring Show & Sale Friday, March 29 through Saturday, March 30. The event will be held on the Zoo Stage from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Ambassador animals will put on an art demonstration in the classroom on Friday.

In addition to the art show, the zoo will be holding the Paperbacks for Penguins book sale for donation only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30. All proceeds from the sale support the Erie Zoo's African Black Footed Penguin Conservation efforts.
