Saturday night was special day for some members of our community.

New Knights and Ladies of St. Patrick were officially inducted at St. Patrick's Church in Downtown Erie.

The organization puts together activities such as the St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Irish Fest to support the temporary shelter, St. Patrick's Haven.

Matt Clark, who is now a Knight, said the organization has been around for nearly 50 years.

The Knights & Ladies will be leading the St. Patrick's Day Parade next weekend at 2:00, and Clark said people from all over the city and county always look forward to attending.
