PENNCREST School District Selects Shawn Ford as New Superintendent

The PENNCREST School District has selected Shawn Ford as its new superintendent pending an upcoming vote.
According to the school district, Ford spent the first 18 years of his educational career at Crawford Central School District and possesses a profound understanding of the community's needs and aspirations.
Representatives of the school said Ford's return to Crawford County signifies a homecoming accompanied by deep roots in the area, extensive experience, and a steadfast commitment to the district's success.
"I'm thrilled to be back in Crawford County and grateful for the opportunity to lead PENNCREST School District," said Ford. "I'm deeply committed to building collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders to ensure every student acquires the essential academic, college/career, and life skills needed for success in today's ever changing world. Additionally, the Board of Education and I are dedicated to rebuilding community trust through respectful engagement, constructive dialogue, and addressing the current challenges facing the district."

The PENNCREST Board of Directors expresses full confidence in Ford's ability to build upon the district's history of success and lead the school district to greater heights.
The board is expected to come together to vote and approve the appointment.
