Round 15 of Knockout Homelessness is coming back on April 2 to the Bayfront Convention Center. Starting at 6 p.m., it will be a night for gloves, punches and crowd entertainment, all to help raise funds for the organization's Samaritan Care emergency men's shelter program.

The annual event helps raise awareness about the condition of homelessness in Erie while raising funds for the Erie City Mission's Samaritan Care Emergency men's shelter program. 

According to the Erie City Mission, two local celebrities will step into the ring on Tuesday, April 2 to fight homelessness head on in match against Erie's famous boxing family, the Bizzarros. 

Chuck Nelson, Pastor of St. Paul's Church Erie and elected official on the Erie City Council will fight Johnny Bizzarro as the second co-feature bout of the night. Drew Whiting, CEO of the Erie Downtown Development Corporation will serve as a referee for the match. 

Tom Lenox, Lieutenant and the Police Athletic League Coordinator and Recruitment Officer for the City of Erie Police Department will be go up against Lou Bizzarro, Jr. in the Main Event. Owner of Angelo's Roofing, Andy Vinca, will serve as a referee for the Main Event. 

"I'm excited to really platform the homelessness issue we have in Erie and really supporting the Mission," said Nelson. "They provide great services and programs to try to life people out of poverty, lift people out of that homelessness and bring them into a community that really cares for them and displays the love of Christ." 

Additionally, according to the Mission, this year's first co-feature bout will feature a special match between lightweight prospect, Anthony Bizzarro and welterweight champion, Mat Acosta.
