While it may not feel like the spring season, people could get ideas for spring and summer projects at the Erie Home and Garden Expo all weekend long.

The spring atmosphere indoors is a stark contrast to Erie's current weather conditions. But as Mark Concilla with Erie Promotions explained, "This weather gives us the opportunity to know people and any homeowners that are home. You know if the weather is real nice they're probably gonna wanna clean up the yards or do different things, but now this is a great chance for him to come down and take a look at all the different projects so I can get rolling for the spring."

People could meet and learn from vendors for home renovations at the Erie Home and Garden Expo, like Don Bailey, who was looking to upgrade his windows. "If they don't know the answer, they can direct you to someone that does", said Bailey.

While it's not just about planning for outdoor projects, but indoor projects are just as important. There were several vendors on hand, talking about counter tops, flooring, and even railings.

Brozko Inc specializes in both residential and commercial railings and leaders believe that's what sets them apart from other railing businesses. Igor Burykin, the Vice President of Brozko Inc explained, "Aluminum railings or stainless steel, so they're corrosion resistant and they last longer than anything else that's on the market and they deal with a high-grade aluminum and that's a good investment the last for years."

Meantime, this was the third year that Nova Cabinets, Counter tops and Floors have participated in the expo and the owner said these events generate new clients and business for their company. As Ivan Voitic explained, "Really, it's a lot, pretty much everyone  we can meet with our product, they more like what we doing."

Whether people were making purchases or getting ideas; warmer days and a new season were on many people's minds.

The Home and Garden Expo continues until 8:00 on Saturday and from 11:00-4:00 on Sunday.

The Spring Craft and Gift Fair returns in two weeks.
