The fire which forced a family from their mobile home in Millcreek Township on Monday does not appear to be suspicious, according to fire chief Mike Cliff.

The first calls came in just before 8 p.m. reporting flames at a mobile home in the 2500 block of Colonial Ave.

A township police fire investigator was called to the scene, but the cause of the fire is still unknown.

The fire destroyed the trailer where it started.

The family inside managed to escape safely, but a dog died in the fire.

The fire also spread to the mobile home next door, causing major damage.

A woman inside suffered burns and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Firefighters spent about two hours extinguishing flames and smoke, but none were injured.
