Representatives from the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern PA were in Warren this week for a special big check presentation ceremony.

At the presentation, a generous $50,000 check was presented to CiviLink, a local start-up company that specializes in developing government management systems for small, localized government entities.

This donation is part of the Ben Franklin Technology Partners' initiative along with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, to foster entrepreneurship across the state.

“It’s really exciting to have this investment from Ben Franklin Technology partners and we are really grateful for all that they have brought to the table for us, not just the money but the experts that have helped us along the way,” stated Lisa Hagberg, Co-Founder of CiviLink.

“It’s a thrill to watch someone take their idea, literally on a napkin and turn it into a company with people in high-tech jobs and growing a tech-economy here in warren county," Brian Slawin, Director and Portfolio Manager for Ben Franklin Technology Partners said. "It is a real privilege and it’s a ton of fun.”

Ben Franklin Technology Partners is currently holding their Big Idea contest for Cameron, Clinton, Lycoming, Potter, and Tioga counties in the PA Wild Region.

Entries for this grant will be accepted until Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 5:00PM.
