Sugar Grove Township will receive $34,652 for the extension of natural gas service, Pennsylvania state Rep. Kathy Rapp announced Wednesday.

The money comes from the Pipeline Investment Program (PIPE). The grants are used to construct the last few miles of natural gas distribution lines to business parks and existing manufacturing and industrial enterprises, help deploy low-cost energy, and create new jobs while providing access to natural gas for residents.

“It’s so important that the people of Pennsylvania have a choice in how they power their homes and businesses,” Rapp said. “I’m happy these funds can give Sugar Grove residents another option, which will hopefully lead to lower utility bills and more money in their pockets.”
