Erie Community Foundation has launched its new branding, leaders announced Thursday.

President and CEO Karen Bilowith said the goal of this change is to give the Community Foundation a fresh and modern look.

The branding update keeps the original acorn but aims to convey the changes of the community.

The organization's annual fundraising campaign Erie Gives also received a logo makeover.

Bilowith said the change includes the brand colors for each affiliate and affinity fund.

"I look at the acorn and see an open hand," said Bilowith. "To me, that's an invitation to anyone in the community to join us in our collective impact that we have on the community and join us in giving."

Erie Community Foundation is asking everyone to mark Tuesday, Aug. 13, on their calendars. That's the date for the 14th annual Erie Gives Day.
