The A.N.N.A. Shelter, along with Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), rescued several dogs that were being kept in unsanitary conditions on Wednesday, March 27.
According to the shelter, all the dogs were emaciated and in need of immediate medical care. One dog, was so starved he was nearly dead. The dog was seized and was rushed to a specialty hospital in Pittsburgh for intensive care.
The other dogs were removed with a warrant. All the dogs were taken to the ANNA Wellness Center West where Dr. Zeigler and her staff triaged the dogs.
The shelter said charges have been filed and they are confident the dogs will get justice.
