The Erie Otters have some work to do after a tough home playoff loss Wednesday evening.

Team mascot Slap Shot and Otters fans were ready for the team's first home playoff game in seven years with the best-of-seven OHL playoff series tied at one game each.

Erie started strong by taking a 3-0 lead, but Kitchener fought back, eventually tying things up at three and sending the game into overtime.

That's where the Rangers' Justin Bottineau connected from the corner, with the Rangers' only shot in overtime giving them a 4-3 win and a two-one series lead.

Game four will be at the Erie Insurance Arena on Thursday evening.
