The project will include updates to traffic signal equipment at 10 intersections from the intersection of W. 26th and Zuck Rd. in Millcreek Township to the intersection of W. 26th and Chestnut St. in the City of Erie. Intersections included in the project are Crescent Dr., Geist Rd., Hudson Rd., Greengarden Blvd., Bauer Ave., Brown Ave. Raspberry St., Cascade St., Liberty St., Cherry St. and Chestnut St.

ADA-compliant updates will also be made Zuck Rd. and Evanston Ave.

Work will also include updates to sidewalks, drainage and ADA-compliant curb ramps, as well as new signs.

Construction is expected to start April 15, weather-permitting, and is expected to be completed by November 2024.

One lane of the roadway will remain open throughout the project, and traffic will be controlled with daytime lane restrictions and flaggers. Drivers are asked to watch for traffic pattern shifts and lane restrictions and expect travel delays during active work hours.

M & B Services, of Clarion, was awarded the $2,938,771.42 contract for the project. It will be paid for with a combination of state and federal funds.
