Millcreek Township has earned the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors' (PSATS) 46th Annual Citizen Communication Contest for efforts to keep residents updated and informed.

The contest recognizes townships that outstandingly communicated programs and activities to citizens.

Millcreek received first place in the Multimedia Communications category.

“We’re extremely grateful for first place in the PSATS Multimedia Citizens Communications,” said Communications Coordinator Sam Peterson, “The recognition is great, but we’ll continuously improve on any communications going out to our residents.”

According to the Township, the contest attracted entries from across the Commonwealth in seven categories. Categories included: printed and electronic newsletters, most improved newsletters, other publications, multimedia communication, social media and websites.

A total of 31 townships submitted 130 entries for this year's competition. 16 townships won awards.

All contest entries were judged on the usefulness of the information presented and how well the
information was communicated to township residents.
