The Hamot Health Foundation, the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE), and UPMC Hamot Kidney Transplant Services are coming together to host the Dash to Donate 5K Run/Walk. 

The run/walk will be begin and end at the Erie Runner's Club Pavilion near Beach 1 on Sunday, April 21 at 8:30 a.m. 

Event organizers said the goal of the event is to increase awareness of organ donation. The money raised will be used to help defer expenses for patients and their families during the transplant process through the Ryan's Choice Fund. 

The fund is administered by the Hamot Health Foundation.
