State Rep. Jake Banta (R-Erie) will be hosting multiple unclaimed property events in May. The events are being held in an effort to reconnect citizens with unclaimed property.

The Office of State Treasurer Stacy Garrity is partnering with Banta's office to assist residents who seek to find and recover property belonging to them at no cost.

The first unclaimed property event will be held at Banta's Waterford Office (412 High St., Waterford) on Friday, May 10. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The second event will be held on Tuesday, May 28 in Girard (142 Main St, Girard) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Our first event helped deliver over $37,000 of unclaimed property for constituents,” Banta said. “My hope is we can continue to reconnect citizens with what is rightfully theirs.”

According to event organizers, appointments are not necessary.
