Pennsylvania State Police are asking for help to track down a man wanted for attempted homicide in Venango County.

Troopers have issued an arrest warrant for Anthony Young, 31, of Pleasantville, on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, firearms not to be carried without a license, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief.

Troopers were called around 6:41 p.m. Wednesday to Shamburg Rd. in Oil Creek Township for a report of shots fired.

A witness told investigators they saw a gold, four-door car driving up the road and heard one of the neighbors verbally engage the driver. The witness said the vehicle stopped, a man got out, walked up to the 30-year-old male victim, aimed a gun and fired three shots.

Investigators said Young was the only person in the vehicle, and he took off toward State Route 227 after the crime.

He was driving a gold, four-door 2007 Ford Fusion with the Pennsylvania licenses plate MJG4251 and tinted windows, according to troopers.

Anyone with information on where Young may be is asked to call State Police in Franklin at 814-676-6596.
