Paving work will start soon on more than a mile of Route 19 in Summit Township, Erie County, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Crews will resurface the road from Oliver Rd. to Rotunda Dr.

Work will also include traffic signal work, updated drainage, and pavement markings.

Construction is expected to start May 15, weather-permitting, and is expected to wrap up in September.

The majority of work will be completed at night to avoid heavy traffic times.

Drivers may see lane restrictions and flaggers between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday night through Friday morning.

The nearly $2.6 million project is being paid with federal funds.
