Saturday night was the 11th Annual Cowabunga Day at Eastway Lanes on Buffalo Road.

The bowling benefit was put together by Tara Durian in memory of her son, Jax Stone, who passed away from a rare childhood cancer at the age of nine.

Proceeds from Cowabunga Day will benefit UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and to Make-A-Wish, the organization that fulfilled Jax's wish of going to Disneyland.

Jax's mom said seeing the event sold out for the fourth straight year is heartwarming for her family. Durian said that there will be a softball event coming up in September in Jax's memory.
