An Erie street will be renamed Monday to honor a nun for her lifetime of service to the community.

City officials are getting ready to rename E. 11th St. from German to Holland as Mary Miller Way.

It will recognize the late Sister Mary Miller for her years of dedication serving the Erie community. She died last May at the age of 81.

She led Erie's Emmaus Ministries for more than 40 years, adding a food pantry and a Kids Cafe to Emmaus Soup Kitchen.

The street renaming dedication ceremony is set for 3 p.m.
