Two area Red Lobster locations have closed as of Monday.

The company's website has removed the hours for the Erie location on Edinboro Rd. near the Millcreek Mall and the Lakewood/Jamestown, N.Y., location on E. Fairmount Ave.

Both are listed as temporarily closed on the website and each location's Facebook page, but no date has been posted for their reopening.

Erie News Now has reached out to the company for comment and is still awaiting a response.

This follows reports of Red Lobster considering filing for bankruptcy protection to restructure its debt and shed some of its 650 US locations.
