While the November election is still months away, community leaders are already strategizing on ways to bring voters to the polls, and affordable healthcare is one topic of focus.

On Thursday, May 18, Erie Democrats have started a campaign centered around on affordable healthcare. City Council member Tyler Titus, along with health professionals, launched the campaign.

They say a Biden re-election is crucial to making healthcare cheaper. They're worried about Donald Trump's efforts to get rid of the Affordable Care Act.

"We need to make sure that people feel heard, that they feel seen," said Titus. "And making sure the people are showing up in November."

The group, Healthcare Providers for Biden-Harris, is a national coalition of politicians and healthcare professionals.
