Asbury Woods and the Regional Science Consortium (RSC) at Presque Isle Center received a combined total of approximately $35,000 in grant funding. 

Asbury Woods was awarded $4,954 and the RSC received $29,992 in funding. 

Asbury Woods was awarded funding for its Outreach to Erie County Community Schools. The funding will be used to host after school environmental education programming for Erie County Community Schools. 

The RSC received funding for the Ship to Shore Program. The program monitors water quality in Lake Erie. The program allows students to investigate urban watershed concepts and collect water, plankton, and other samples while sailing aboard the Lettie G. Howard. 

The two grants are part of a larger Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection announcement. The Pa. Department of Environmental Protection awarded $980,256 in Environmental Education Grants to 56 projects across the state.
