The Erie Zoo's annual summer adult fundraiser, the Mane Event, formerly known as the GalapaZOOza, will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 7-11 p.m.

This year's theme is The Mane Event 2024: Making a Splash. The zoo says the event is a great way to kick off their 100th anniversary in style.

The night will feature entertainment from The Chozen Few, Small Town Rollers, and Little Red Engine, animal encounters, grazing stations (food samples from local establishments), and watering holes with unlimited beverages.

The fundraiser is exclusively for those 21 and older.

Tickets for the event go one sale on Friday, May 31 at 9 a.m. Tickets for Erie Zoo membership holders are $140, tickets are $190 for nonmembers. Tickets can be purchased online

The Zoo says every ticket sold provides vital resources to the animal care and daily operations for the zoo.

The Zoo will close to the public on Saturday, June 29 at 1 p.m. to prepare for the fundraiser.
