Two concert series will be bringing music to the City of Erie's parks and senior living communities.

The 814 Concert Series features one local band each Sunday at 5 p.m. from July 7 through Aug. 11. Each location will have a food truck and community resource tables.

  • July 7 – Bayview Park. 598 W 2nd St, Erie, PA 16507. Featuring: Ruby Port Band
  • July 14 – Wayne Park. E. 6th St. and East Ave. Featuring: The Riffriders
  • July 21 – Baker Field. East 32nd and Holland Streets. Featuring: Steely Mac: A Tribute to Steely Dan
  • July 28 – Nate Levy Park. E 2nd St (Between Holland St and German St). Featuring: Life Thru Music
  • Aug 4 – Washington Park. W. 24th and Raspberry Streets. Featuring: Stephen Trohoske’s X-Ray Audio
  • Aug 11 – Rodger Young Park. 1750 Buffalo Road. Preach Freedom Introduces: Empress Rushell Roun’ ‘A Yaad Reggae

Several of the 814 Concerts will be held in neighborhoods following Love Your Block improvement projects. More information about the Love Your Block initiative is available here.

Sounds of Summer features one local band each Monday night at 7 p.m. from July 8 through Aug. 12. The concerts are held at senior living communities throughout the city. 

  • July 8 – Perry Square. Featuring: Tennessee Back Porch
  • July 15 – VA Medical Center. 135 East 38th Street. Featuring: Presque Isle Little Big Band
  • July 22 – Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home. 560 E 3rd St. Featuring: Rooftop Project
  • July 29 – Ostrow Apartments. 4220 Davison Ave. Featuring: Gem City Jazz Ensemble
  • Aug 5 – Nightingale Nursing & Rehab Center. 607 E 26th St. Featuring: Concert Band of NWPA
  • Aug 12 – Curry/Schell Apartments. 3909 Schaper Ave. Featuring: Millcreek Area Community Band

All concerts and shows are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair to enjoy the shows.

Both concert series are presented by UPMC Health Plan. The Music Performance Trust Fund and the American Federation of Musicians Local 17 Music Fund provided additional grant funding for the Sounds of Summer.
