The Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network on social media asked for prayers and extra love after finding that someone vandalized their urban farm, cutting down tomato, pepper, and other vegetable plants.

The plants were started from seed in April and planted and cared for by neighborhood teens, all to help feed neighbors in need.

The plot at 19th and Myrtle is one of several community gardens initiated by the Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network.

They plan to start over again and replant. They will have a community planting and garden get-together Monday at 4:30 p.m.

Those helping will meet at 425 W. 18th St.
