The Walk to End Alzheimer's will be returning to Betts Park, Saturday September 28th this year.

Event organizers have been busy gathering volunteers and participants for the walk.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's, held annually in more than 600 communities, aims to fundraise for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

Nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's.

Event organizers assured that the Alzheimer's Association is diligent about how fundraising money is spent, making them one of the top non-profit organizations on many watch dog lists.

“79% of the dollars that are raised go back to the research and advocacy for the Alzheimer's and dementia patients," stated Amber Beason, Development Manager for the Greater PA Alzheimer’s Association. "These are diseases that affect so many people, worldwide. The vision of living in a world without them, is so big, but we are getting closer to that goal everyday."

Organizers will also be hosting a kickoff event, June 20th at Bent Run Brewing Company in downtown Warren, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm.

all proceeds from the kickoff will go towards The Warren Walk to End Alzheimer's.
