If you are in the market for a house, it's important you know all the responsibilities that come with the purchase.

Today, the PA Housing Finance Authority received a federal grant to support their home buyer counseling and education programs.

The grant was announced in a press conference in Harrisburg today.

Julia Gordon, The Assistant Secretary for Housing for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, revealed a check of $479,000 dollars. The money will help the state authority expand their counseling efforts in agencies across the commonwealth.

These agencies also help home buyers find federal mortgages in their house hunting journey.
