Main Street Cakery Cafe in Fairview is raising money for the family of Cadence Gannoe.

The 17-year-old girl was killed in a crash on Sunday, June 16 on Interstate 79. The car had just merged onto I-79 north, crossed the right lane, hit a car in the left lane and rolled over several times. Gannoe was ejected from the vehicle.

In a Facebook post, the Cafe said:

Words cannot express how heartbreaking this entire situation is. Cadence was such a fun, spunky, beautiful girl who always made everyone in the room smile. We were so blessed to have had her apart of our Cakery family. She will always have a special place in our hearts. Many people have asked what they can do for their family so we wanted to share this. A GoFundMe was created to help lay her to rest. We also will be collecting donations in person if you would rather donate that way. Thank you all for the support and understanding through this very difficult time. Community is everything.

A GoFundMe was created to help Cadence's family lay her to rest. The fundraiser has received over 600 donations and has currently raised over $40,000 for her family.

Main Street Cakery Cafe in Fairview is also accepting donations in person.

Additionally, the Fairview School District is offering group counseling in the high school's Chill Room on Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m., and on Thursday from 1-3 p.m.
