Fire crews had an early start to the morning due to a fire out on Shannon Road. 

First calls for the fire came just before 5:30 a.m. Monday morning. According to first responders, mulch caught fire at Dirt Works Organics located at 4735 Shannon Rd. in Harborceek.

Our crews arrived on scene around 8:30 a.m., to find multiple fire crews still working. Fire engines were struggling to get water from hydrants in the area due to a water main break on 38th Street.

Rigs where either required to fill up at in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, closing Shannon Rd. from Koehler Rd. to the Bayfront Connector.
