Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for help to identify a man who may have information on the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

Video of the unidentified man, known as John Doe 48, was first recorded by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in December 2023, according to investigators. Data embedded within the video indicates the file was produced in October 2023, FBI officials said.

John Doe 48 is approximately 45 and 65 years old with dark hair and a gray beard. He has a tattoo on each of his forearms. He is seen in the back of a 2018-2019 Nissan NV cargo van wearing a blue T-shirt and a dark-colored hat. He is heard speaking English in the video.

Anyone with information is asked to submit their tip online here or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI. No charges have been filed in this case, and the pictured individual is presumed innocent unless proven guilty, according to investigators.
