Several Trees Downed by Storm in Warren County

After the severe thunderstorm swept through Warren, PA on June 26th, numerous calls went out to 9-1-1 and the City Department of Public Works.
On Canton Street and S. South Street trees had fallen near homes and across roadways.
The City of Warren Department of Public Works, Penelec, and representatives from National Fuel and Gas went to each location in order to assess the damage and quickly clean up the roads.
“I was taking a fan out of the window because the wind was really picking up and as I closed the window I heard a huge "woosh!”, stated Kristen Tubbs, Warren resident. "Shortly after that I got a call from my neighbor Laurie, who told me that a large tree fell into the road."
“My car was parked right out front of my house," said Laurie West, Warren resident. "When I heard the noise and came outside it was awfully close to my car. Luckily it missed it, and I've now parked it behind my house.”
Numerous reports of downed power lines and standing water have come in for the Warren County area following the storm.
Authorities advise that if you see a downed tree or power line, call 9-1-1 immediately and avoid the area.
