Otters Select Erliden in CHL Import Draft

The Erie Otters added in the crease on Wednesday as the team drafted Swedish goalie Noah Erliden with the 30th pick of the Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.
Erliden is a 5'10" goaile from Jonkoping, Sweden. He played last season with HV71 J20 of the J20 Nationell. In 24 games, Erliden posted a 2.88 goals against and a .902 save percentage.
"Noah is a goaltender who we have had our eyes on for a while," said Erie Otters director of hockey operations Scott Grieve. "He is athletic and competes hard in the crease. Noah's accolades at international tournaments representing Sweden at the highest level speak for themselves."
Erliden represented Sweden in several international tournaments. During the 2023 IIHF U18 World Championship, the netminder went 5-1 with a .945 save percentage and a 1.49 GAA, en route to being named the best goaltender in the tournament and a silver medal for Team Sweden.
