The County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) have been actively creating multiple loans and financial opportunities to support new businesses in the area.

Just last year, they invested over $840 million in 34 different projects throughout Chautauqua County. With the implementation of their new initiatives, Choose CHQ and Live CHQ, they aim to maximize the impact of these investments even further.

“We’ve had really good momentum here for a couple of years, but certainly since rolling out the campaign we’ve had some really good things happen," stated Mark Geise, CEO of the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency. "Wicked Warren's purchased a bar and restaurant here in downtown Jamestown and a new wedding and banquet hall just opened in Frewsburg.”

“We are involved in upwards of 32 projects a year," added Jason Sample, Marketing & Communications Coordinator for the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency. "We don’t just take care of the large corporations that employ thousands of people, the smaller manufacturers or mid-size manufacturers that operate in Chautauqua County benefit from the IDA as well, even small businesses like the wedding reception place in Frewsburg, just right near the state line with PA."

Throughout their work, the CCIDA plans to incorporate bordering states like Pennsylvania into their plans to improve local economy as a whole.

By working together, they aim to enhance growth and sustainability for everyone.

It’s the agency's hope that more new businesses like Wicked Warren will start popping up all over Chautauqua County.

“The CCIDA was very helpful for us," stated Jodi Jones, Banquet Manager of Wicked Warren. "We wanted to open our new place here to help boost the economy. We are all locals, so we are super excited to open another locally owned business and bring it to Chautauqua County.”

It is a passion to help the community that drives the CCIDA every day.

“We are creating jobs, we are creating family sustaining jobs," said Mark Geise, CEO of the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency. "I am so fortunate to be able to do that every day."

The CCIDA's Choose CHQ and Live CHQ campaigns will be ongoing for the next two years, with the goal of reversing population decline and increasing businesses throughout the region.
