Longer happy hours appear to be on the way for bars and restaurants across Pennsylvania.

A new bill, awaiting Governor Josh Shapiro's signature, would allow these establishments to have longer happy hours and offer discounted foods along with drink deals.

The bill will expand the happy hour maximum from 14 hours per week to 24 hours per week.

It would allow for deals on food and drink combinations, and bars could offer free drinks for self-sponsored promotions and events.

Gov. Shapiro is expected to sign it into law, and it would take effect 60 days after that.
