Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine is no stranger to Erie County.

He returned to the region for the third time in the last 12 months.

Irvine spent time visiting with youngsters participating in the Police Athletic League Camp.

After a 30-minute question and answer session with the students, he traveled to North East, Pa.

He met with Richard Mellon, the founder of the Mellon Heritage Outreach Center.

Irvine and Mellon are working on a culinary project that will benefit local students.

Irvine travels over 330 days a year to participate in benefits for First Responders, Veterans and their families.

The Robert Irvine Foundation was created in 2014.
