A big two-day pickleball tournament is underway this weekend on the outdoor courts at Erie's Baldwin Park

This event is a memorial tournament organized by the Erie Pickleball Players Association.

They're honoring the memory of five trailblazers in the local pickleball community who have passed away.

Last year 75 players signed up for the event, this year it's up to 83.

Two divisions played on Saturday and they play again on Sunday starting at 10 am and 2pm.

If you haven't gotten into the sport of pickleball yet, organizers say it's fun, addictive, great physical activity, and it's not hard to get started.

It costs just 30 dollars a year for membership in the Erie Pickleball Players Association with four free events a year and discounts on tournaments.
