We may be closer to Christmas in July than Christmas, but that hasn't stopped people from thinking of helping those in need.

Preparations for Toys for Tots got underway with their third annual "Tunes for Tots" fundraiser at the Sloppy Duck on Sunday.


This event raises money to help purchase toys for children this holiday season.

People could enjoy live music, auctions, raffles and drawings while supporting children and families in need.


The official start to their holiday campaign begins on October 1.
